I was very active when I was in secondary school and college. Swimming, lifting weights, mountain biking; you name it!

I started my working life, poor lifestyle choices started to get the best of me. Drinking, smoking, poor diet and sleep patterns led me to put on weight without realizing which also led to mental health decline.  When my daughter was born 13 years ago, I weighed myself during a health checkup and was shocked! That was my wake-up call. I immediately went to the gym and worked out for 2 hours daily, 6 days a week, swimming sessions following that.  Within 6 months I'd lost 6 kg, looked and felt so much better (even without altering my diet.) I enjoy pushing myself to the limits. 

That was my "Why".  I wanted to be a healthy role model for my daughter to look up to.
